Tony Levin est connu pour être le bassiste de King Crimson, Peter Gabriel ou Liquid Tension mais il a également travaillé avec differents artistes comme Lou Reed, Dire Straits, Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, John Lennon et Carly Simon.
Tony Levin est un musicien inventif et innovateur, pionnier du stick Chapman et du "funk fingers".
